What makes it special: The Christ Missionary Baptist Church has been extending the Gospel since 1919. The church has been a light in the Eugene and Rader Community since 1955. Pastor Girton had a vision in 1998 to take a boarded up strip mall and create an opportunity to enhance the life of a neighborhood. The property at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Eugene Streets became the property of Christ Missionary Baptist Church.
Girton has been the pastor of Christ Missionary Baptist Church for over 45 years. God continues to bless him. On December 1st he celebrated his 80th birthday.
