Big congrats to Shortridge girls basketball, which went 2-0 this week to even its season record at 4-4. As was the case last week, the Blue Devils are the only team on the girls’ side with a win. The boys will likely be looking to Crispus Attucks throughout the season to deliver for Indianapolis Public Schools — the Tigers lost a tough matchup to La Lumiere over the weekend — but let’s not forget about George Washington, which split its two games last week and has a 3-2 record on the season.

This wasn’t a very surprising result. La Lumiere, a prep school in northern Indiana, props of great basketball teams every year. Attucks junior Sincere McMahon put up 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting to lead the Tigers, and senior Harold Bennett chipped in 12 points.
