Filantrofilia, a nonprofit based in Mexico, has awarded Christel House Mexico a score of 3.56 on a scale of 4.0; one of the highest ratings ever awarded by the organization. This rating corresponds to an A+.
“We are thrilled that Christel House Mexico was evaluated for the first time by Filantrofilia and given an A+ rating – a first in Filantrofilia’s history. Forty-eight organizations were evaluated and CH Mexico was one of only five who earned the recognition of ‘achieving optimal results,'” says Christel DeHaan, Founder and CEO of Christel House International. “We believe in transparency, accountability and organizational excellence. We are proud of the ratings CH Mexico has received and congratulate our Mexican colleagues.”
Filantrofilia’s mission is to maximize the impact of philanthropy in Mexico via the rating, professionalization, promotion and channeling of resources to nonprofit organizations. It seeks to build confidence in the work of nonprofit organizations by evaluating a nonprofit’s structure and social impact, and by publishing the results. Once Filantrofilia rates an organization, it then works to link the organization to potential donors and help build lasting relationships.
“Filantrofilia believes that Christel House Mexico is providing a substantial and important impact to its beneficiaries,” said Nohemi Paredes Hernandez, Filantrofilia Senior Evaluator. “The inclusion of monitoring and evaluation strategies during the design and development of programs is rare in the nonprofit sector, and
the organization has achieved its strong results thanks to the solid structure provided by Christel House International, as well as the work carried out by the Executive Director, Board Members and staff.”
