WNBA veterans Sydney Carter and Lynetta Kizer both have re-signed player contracts with the Indiana Fever for 2015, as announced by President and General Manager Kelly Krauskopf. Also added to the club’s roster with training camp contracts are Ty Marshall and Briana Butler.

Carter and Kizer were newcomers with Indiana in 2014, though both made regular contributions off the bench for a Fever team which reached the Eastern Conference Finals.

Kizer appeared in 31 games last year and averaged 3.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in her third WNBA season. A 6-4 power forward out of Maryland, Kizer posted her best game with 13 points and 10 boards at Connecticut, and later added a 16-point effort at San Antonio. She currently is averaging 17.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in Turkey.

Carter, a speedy 5-6 guard out of Texas A&M, completed her third WNBA season while averaging 3.2 points and 1.3 assists in 23 appearances. She scored a career-high 14 points to spark a Fever win at Atlanta.

Like Carter and Kizer, Butler (formerly Gilbreath) enters her fourth pro season. The 6-foot guard split the 2014 campaign between Phoenix and Connecticut, after playing every game and making 30 starts for the Mercury in 2013. She averages 4.5 points per game through three WNBA seasons. She currently plays in Belgium where she is averaging 14.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.

Marshall was a second-round draft pick of the New York Liberty in 2014, but was waived in training camp. The 5-9 guard saw action in three preseason games with the Liberty last year, following a career at Georgia Tech in which she became the Yellow Jackets’ all-time scoring leader. She finished her college career with 2,129 points and was named to the All-ACC First Team and ACC All-Defensive Team. She was selected by the Atlanta Tipoff Club as the women’s Player of the Year in Georgia as both a junior and senior. She currently averages 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds while playing in Romania.
