Parade, Indians game to celebrate basketball champs

historic wins of Charles A. Tindley Accelerated High School, Crispus Attucks and Ben Davis at the IHSAA State Finals, Mayor Joe Hogsett and the Indianapolis Indians are inviting all three teams and their coaching staffs to the Indians’ season opener on Thursday, April 6. The teams will join Hogsett on the field prior to the first pitch and have the chance to watch the game and enjoy refreshments, thanks to the Indianapolis Indians’ support. Prior to the start of the game, the high schools will be invited to meet the mayor for a parade around Monument Circle in celebration of their win. Fans not attending the game are encouraged to join in, wishing the teams congratulations along the north side of Monument Circle.
