On Aug. 22 at Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S. Capitol Ave., Indiana University Health and the Indianapolis Colts will kick off the Healthy Horseshoe Team program at the Back to Football Colts 5K run/walk strengthened by Indiana University Health. IU Health experts will be at Lucas Oil Stadium to answer questions about health, wellness and exercise, and to discuss the Healthy Horseshoe Team program.
IU Health will also provide medical care throughout the course of the 5K run/walk. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health.
The Healthy Horseshoe Team is an interactive health and fitness program developed by experts at Indiana University Health and the Indianapolis Colts. This program is designed to motivate and add positive fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits into the busy lives of Hoosiers. These habits include walking 20 minutes per day or eating more vegetables, leading to a positive effect on health and well-being for years to come.
On Saturday, IU Health will be onsite conducting open registration for the Healthy Horseshoe Team program. Fans can also sign up at colts.com/HealthyHorseshoe and look for new weekly challenges and helpful content online each Monday of the 2015-2016 Indianapolis Colts season.
For those participating in the 5K, limited free parking available in the South lot of Lucas Oil Stadium. Registration opens at 6 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. The Back to Football Colts PLAY 60 Kids Fun Run begins at 9:30 a.m.
