The Indianapolis Urban League’s 2016 Urban Affair Gala will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Pavilion. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a VIP Reception followed by dinner, an awards presentation and dancing at 7:00 p.m.
Guest will enjoy a racing themed experience and activities that include simulators and photo opportunities on the track and with an Indianapolis Urban League branded race car. Also, the Blair Clark Band will perform throughout the evening for guests.
The cost to attend the Urban Affair Gala is $250 per person. Corporate tables and sponsorship opportunities are available.
Proceeds from this special event will help generate the financial support necessary for the Indianapolis Urban League to continue providing critical educational programs, workforce development training, family assistance efforts and health initiatives to students, individuals and families in need, according to a press release.
In addition, the Indianapolis Urban League is working with the Fresh Stop program at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church to present Tab Fresh Stop 2016. This program works to bring farm-direct produce to area communities and families on an income based sliding scale. The Indianapolis Urban League will also provide information on nutrition, fitness to program participants.
The next Fresh Stop event will be held at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church (418 E. 34th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205) on August 27th at 10:00 am.
