Central Indiana will again host the largest national weeklong summer music camp for students and teachers, June 21-28 at Ball State University in Muncie. Music for All, one of the nationās largest and most influential organizations in support of music education, will return to Muncie for the fourth summer with its Music for All Summer Symposium, presented by Yamaha.
More than 1,000 high school band and orchestra students and high school and middle school band directors are expected at the 39th annual Symposium. The full week camp is June 23-28. The Symposium also offers a weekend of student leadership training June 21-23.
The Symposium typically brings together student musicians and educators from as many as 35 states and abroad. High school students learn from top music educators in tracks that include concert band, marching band, jazz band, orchestra, percussion, color guard and drum major. High school and middle school band directors and instructors can choose from several educatorsā tracks that hone their professional skills. Student leadership training is a theme that runs throughout all divisions of the Symposium.
The evening concert series of world-class artists and events sets the Music for All Summer Symposium apart. This yearās evening concert and event series includes:

Atlantic Brass Quintet – June 24, 8 p.m. at Emens Auditorium
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy – June 25, 8 p.m. at Emens Auditorium
Christian Howes and Southern Exposure, presented by Yamaha – June 26, 8 p.m. at Emens Auditorium
Drum Corps International Central Indiana – June 27, 7 p.m. at Scheumann Stadium
The evening concerts are open to the public. The Yamaha Young Performing Artists concert is general admission balcony seating, and no ticket is required. Atlantic Brass Quintet, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Christian Howes and Southern Exposure performances are reserved balcony seating, pricing coming soon. Children 10 and under are free.
