‘Return to the 40s’ dinner and swing dance

Join the Barton Rogers Big Band for an evening of big-band music, swing dancing, and dinner at the historic Fort Harrison State Park Inn on Nov. 12 beginning at 5 p.m. The dinner-dance will be held in the main lodge of the Fort Harrison State Park Inn. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m., with the band performing from 8 to 10 p.m. Dress is semi-formal or WWII era men’s and women’s fashions, including military uniforms. Seating is open. Cost for the dinner-dance is $30 a person, $50 a couple. Reservations are recommended, but tickets may be purchased at the door. There is a room, dinner and dance package available through the Fort Harrison State Park Inn for the evening for $125 per couple. The event is co-hosted by Fort Harrison State Park, Fort Harrison State Park Inn, the Indianapolis Symphonic Band, and the Museum of 20th Century Warfare.
