On August 7 and 8, 2010, the Indianapolis-based Iibada Dance Company will celebrate 20 years of service to our local youth. On Saturday, May 22nd, youth dancers (age 7 and up) may audition for a spot in Iibada’s upcoming musical, Broadway in Black. Dancers of all skill levels are encouraged to audition as scholarships [for instruction] will be awarded to the selected participants.

The auditions for Broadway in Black will take place at Fall Creek Academy from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Students should refer to the attached audition information form to prepare.

The purpose of Iibada Dance Company is to educate youth in the beauty, strength, and discipline of dance. Iibada was founded in 1989 under the direction of Sabra Logan. Through many years of teaching and performing various dance styles, she developed a desire to inspire youth to be positive, young men and women. “Children are our future. The more you instill positive influences, the better they will become,” said Logan.
