Political parties targeting Indiana boycott

More by this author

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Political parties are turning to websites and TV ads to drive home their points of view about the ongoing boycott by Indiana House Democrats.

The state Republican Party launched a new website Monday _ www.indemsgps.com _ to track House Democrats. It shows a map with braying donkeys marking sites where House Democrats have been spotted, both in Illinois and in Indiana as they return for town hall meetings or other events.

Also Monday, the national Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee launched a new ad in Indiana. The commercial attacks Gov. Mitch Daniels and fellow Republican for wanting to “kill collective bargaining” and “decimate public schools.”

House Democrats left for Illinois Feb. 22 to derail bills they consider an assault on labor unions and public education.
