Dealing with a legal issue can be stressful, intimidating, and above all, costly. This week Indy-area residents can take advantage of a free consultation with a friendly volunteer attorney to help resolve their legal problems and enjoy the summer with less stress and anxiety. On Tuesday, June 9, the Indianapolis Bar Association will offer Legal Line, a free call-in legal advice service, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 317-269-2000.
Licensed Indiana attorneys participating in Legal Line on June 9 will be prepared to answer questions on such topics as divorce, child custody, child support, landlord/tenant issues, personal injury, employment law and more. All calls are confidential.
Legal Line takes place the second Tuesday of each month from January through November. Those with complex legal issues or anyone seeking representation are encouraged to contact the IndyBar’s Lawyer Referral Service at (317) 269-2222,Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or go online toindylawyerfinder.com.
Individuals specifically seeking bankruptcy legal advice can also find help by calling the association’s Bankruptcy Help Line, which takes place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. The Bankruptcy Help Line can be reached by calling 317-269-1903 and will be held this month on June 10 and June 24.
