Can’t make it to the Final Four? Send a cutout of yourself instead

The NCAA will take advantage of limited fan attendance at the Final Four for its men’s and women’s tournaments by letting fans purchase cardboard cutouts of themselves to fill the seats.

Cutouts for the men’s Final Four cost $100 and can be purchased here.

Proceeds will benefit the United Way of Central Indiana COVID-19 relief fund and Hilinski’s Hope, a national nonprofit promoting awareness and education of student-athlete mental health and wellness.

The Final Four will be at Lucas Oil Stadium. Most of the tournament will be played in Indianapolis. The NCAA capped fan attendance at 25% capacity.

Cutouts for the women’s Final Four in San Antonio also cost $100 and can be purchased here.

Proceeds will benefit three nonprofits: the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, which awards research grants and funds programs to serve the underserved in the fight against all cancers affecting women; the Pat Summitt Foundation, which funds research for treatment and a cure for Alzheimer’s disease while supporting patients and caregivers; and the San Antonio Food Bank, which serves hundreds of thousands of individuals at risk for hunger across southwest Texas.

Fan attendance in San Antonio is capped at 17%.

The cardboard cutouts in both cities will be dispersed among in-person fans. For an additional fee, fans can also choose to ship the cutouts home afterward to keep as a memento.
