“Whatever trends you are deciding to rock this summer, make it your own,” said Christa Johnson, district manager of Dot’s Clothing Store. “Find a great belt, funky jewelry and wedges. There is a lot of great pieces you can utilize to make it your own.”

• Color
The great emerging colors are tangerine, cobalt blue and bright yellow.
• Tribal prints
This trend looks great in jumpsuits and, it’s just a fun print.
• Lace
It’s all about the feminine, flirty look. Lace adds a soft touch.
• Whites and metallics
White sundresses are a statement piece, especially with a hint of metallic in it. White is great because you can add gold accessories to make it rich or dress it down.
• Maxi dress
This is always a repeated summer trend. There is a great variety to choose from too including animal prints, floral or the basic colors.
• Color-blocking
Summer is all about color. You can wear it from head to toe or just choose one piece to showcase.
• Active wear and neon
Pair a loose, flowly or cropped top with yoga pants. Neon is definitely making a comeback.
• Accessories
Grab some printed cuffs, necklaces, earrings or some gladiator sandals. Your basic flip-flops in assorted colors will jazz up an outfit too.
• Printed bottoms
Slacks in pinks and yellows are hot. Also, bold patterned bottoms are great selections.
• Dresses
