The Far Eastside’s vibrant co-working and innovation hub, P30, is stepping into a bold new era with the appointment of Christina Snorten as its executive director. Born and raised on Indianapolis’s east side, Snorten brings a deep personal connection and a proven professional background in business development and community advocacy to her new leadership role.

Snorten’s appointment follows a rigorous search process led by the P30 Board of Directors in close collaboration with community stakeholders.

“The decision to select Christina was the culmination of an extensive process,” expressed the P30 Board of Directors. “We are incredibly excited to announce Christina as the new executive director for P30.”

For Snorten, taking the helm of P30 and following former Executive Director Tamise Cross is both an honor and a homecoming.

“Having been born and raised in Indianapolis on the east side and still proud to call it my home today, I’m just super aware of the rich history and culture and resilience of the residents,” Snorten shared. “I’m really motivated to be able to continue that work and then build upon it.”

Snorten’s career — which spans work with the Indy Chamber, community organizations like Pathway, the Boys & Girls Club, and Project Will — has fully prepared her to take P30 to its next milestone. She envisions the space as a primary driver of economic mobility, particularly through nurturing local small businesses and entrepreneurs.

“Small businesses are the backbone of any society’s economy… they are the crucial lifeblood,” Snorten emphasized. “Having our people at the helm of our businesses ensures that our needs are met as consumers and then ensures that our families have access to economic mobility and generational wealth.”

To take P30 to the next level, Snorten plans to center her leadership around intentional listening, collaboration, and strategic partnerships across the entire city.

“People can expect a person who listens first, collaborates, and then acts,” said Snorten. “I want to learn my neighbors and the residents in a new way. I want to learn the businesses in a new way, because I feel like you can’t serve a community if you aren’t specifically entrenched in what it needs, what it has, and where it’s trying to go.”

Ultimately, Snorten aims to shift the narrative around the Far Eastside from one solely defined by hardship to one celebrated for achievement and growth.

“The Far East Side has a remarkable history of resilience, but my hope is that our future stories are defined not just by what people have endured, but what they were able to actually achieve because they had access to the opportunities and support and investment that they deserved in the first place,” Snorten said.
