close the Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home in
Knightstown, saying it costs too much money. The state spends about
$10 million a year on the facility, and the 53-building campus
needs repairs that could cost up to $200
million.

miles east of Indianapolis gives at-risk youths a loving, safe
environment where they can flourish. Advocates are planning a
noontime rally Monday to draw attention to their
cause.
