The two remaining sessions of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Community Justice Academy will address social media and hate crimes.
The four-session Community Justice Academy launched last week and will be held each Monday through Oct.19, from 6:30–8 p.m. at the Indianapolis Public Library Services Center.
“Social Media and Criminal Prosecution” will be led by IMPD Detective-Sergeant Steven Schafer and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany McCormick on Oct. 12.
The final session, called “Hate Crimes,” is planned for Oct. 19 and will be led by Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry and Miriam Zeidman, the Midwest Civil Rights Counsel with the Anti-Defamation League.
In its fifth year, the Community Justice Academy is part of a comprehensive effort by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to educate and engage citizens in crime prevention strategies and the criminal justice process.
