City-County Councilor Rena Allen is inviting residents to connect with employment opportunities and community resources at an upcoming job and resource fair on the city’s east side.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grassy Creek Environmental Community Center. It will bring together local employers, city agencies and community organizations aimed at supporting residents seeking jobs and essential services.
“Events like this are about making sure residents have access to opportunities and the resources they need to move forward,” Allen said. “By bringing employers, city agencies, and community partners together in one place, we can help connect neighbors to jobs, services, and support that strengthen families and our community.”
Several organizations have already confirmed their participation, including Eskenazi Health, Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County, Goodwill Industries of Central & Southern Indiana, EmployIndy and MSD of Warren Township.

Additional resources will be available through organizations like VOICES Corp and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, which will provide information on expungement services and driver’s license reinstatement. Attendees can also access support related to child care and other essential needs.
The fair is free and open to the public, offering residents a centralized opportunity to explore career pathways and connect with services designed to support long-term stability.
