Beech Grove Meadows, a senior health and memory care facility operated by American Senior Communities, will hold its “1st Annual Day to Remember Carnival for a Cure,” featuring Beech Grove celebrities, including Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley.
The event will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 13 at Beech Grove Meadows, 2002 Albany Street, Beech Grove.
The day features food by Temptation Grill, carnival games, face painting, shark rides and more, including a tricycle race starring Mayor Buckley and representatives of the police and fire departments and the city treasurer’s office.
Mayor Buckley will compete against other city officials for the coveted winner’s title in the tricycle race, which starts at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the games and donations go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
“Each year Beech Grove Meadows and other American Senior Communities locations statewide raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association,” said Beech Grove Meadows Director of Marketing and Admissions Shawnte’ Fonville.
“As an expert in memory care, we know how devastating this illness can be and we aggressively support the Alzheimer’s Association in addressing this disease.”
Beech Grove Meadows provides care for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia through its Auguste’s Cottage.
