Eagle Creek Park is calling for entries for its annual “Celebration of Nature” art exhibit Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 20, 1 to 5 p.m. at the Earth Discovery Center inside the park, 5901 Delong Road.

Artists are welcome to contribute a wide array of media including photography, sculptures, woodcarvings, oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, pen and ink, and fiber art.

Submissions are to emphasize the natural world and are restricted to wildlife (preferably native), nature or landscapes in which there are no man-made structures, people, domestic or captive animals. Each artist is welcome to submit up to three pieces of art.

There is no registration fee. Artists are welcome to sell their work through the park while a percentage of sales goes to the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.

The exhibit will kick off with an artist reception Dec. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Earth Discovery Center, and the show will run Dec. 3-11. Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.

For 24 years, local artists have participated in the annual holiday exhibit, which is the third and final art show of the year focusing on nature at the park. It is preceded by the “Wood Carver and Turner” exhibit and “Images of Nature” photography contest.

To enter, log on www.eaglecreekpark.org to download a registration form, or call (317) 327-7148 for more information.
