Painting With A Twist moves to northside

More by this author

Painting With A Twist, owned by Rob Laux, former vice president at United Way, and Peggy Hufford, former advertising creative manager at ATA Airlines, who also own Pottery by You, has moved to 8804 Michigan Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46268.

Aspiring artists will now be able to create masterpieces at the new Painting with a Twist studio. After its former location sold, the locally owned and operated franchise needed to move. Now located at 86th and Michigan Road intersection behind Steak ā€˜n’ Shake and next to JC Penney, the studio features 2,225 square feet. The space has two rooms to host both public and private classes and can accommodate up to 74 guests.

During two- to three-hour classes, guests recreate an existing painting while spending time with friends and family. A skilled instructor leads the class and walks the artists through each step focusing on fun art not fine art. Guests can choose from a monthly calendar featuring a variety of paintings from the company’s vast portfolio of 3,500 masterpieces. Most classes are for adults but there are some all ages and kid friendly sessions.

Each month the studio partners with a local nonprofit, for a Painting with a Purpose class, and donates 50 to 75 percent of the sales from that session to the charity.

For a list of classes and to make a reservation, visit the Painting with a Twist Indianapolis page.
