State police say a southwestern Indiana man has surrendered to police after he allegedly shot another man he discovered with his estranged wife.
Sgt. Joe Watts sad the man surrendered to police around noon Thursday after leaving a rural Clay County home where he had been holed up after the shooting.
Watts said the man, whose name hasn’t been released, allegedly shot the other man several times.
Watts said the shooting victim walked a quarter-mile to the home of a neighbor, who called 911. The man was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
The suspect’s wife later left the house. Watts said detectives were interviewing her to determine whether her husband may have held her at gunpoint before she fled the scene.
