Indiana native and NBA veteran Gary Harris Jr. returned to his alma mater, Hamilton Southeastern High School, on July 30 and 31 to host the second annual HHH Elite Camp. Short for “Hoops, Health & Happiness,” the free two-day immersion welcomed 17 select student-athletes with a core mission focused on empowering young hoopers to become the best versions of themselves both on and off the court.
Organized and managed by Cameron Harris, the camp expanded its footprint this summer to include female athletes for the first time, extending mentorship and elite instruction to both male and female prospects across the region. Participants represented a wide geographic footprint of Indiana high school programs, including Hamilton Southeastern, Ben Davis, Warren Central, Westfield, Lawrence North, and Anderson.
Rather than observing from the sidelines, the 2012 Indiana Mr. Basketball recipient took a hands-on approach throughout the two-day session, actively participating alongside campers in skill progressions, court drills, and leadership conversations to help guide the next generation of Hoosier talent.
