The Indiana Department of Health is hosting the 39th Annual Indiana Health Fair this weekend, offering Hoosiers access to free health services.
The four-day event runs July 17–20 at the Indiana Convention Center, Halls D and E.
Organizers say the event is designed to address preventable health issues by offering screenings, immunizations and educational resources in one place, free of charge and open to all.

- Saturday, July 19: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Sunday, July 20: 12-6 p.m.
Services and screenings by age group
The health fair is segmented to serve the needs of adults, seniors and children with tailored services for each group.

Adults
Adult attendees can access a broad range of screenings and immunizations. Screenings include:
- Blood pressure
- Cholesterol and lipid panels
- BMI assessments
- Diabetes and prediabetes education
- Vision and hearing tests
- HIV and Hepatitis C testing
- Mental health screenings
- Cancer education (including breast, colorectal and lung)
- Dental health evaluations
Vaccines available for adults include:
- Hepatitis A and B
- Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis)
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- HPV (Gardasil 9)
- Polio
- Meningitis A/C/Y/W and B
- Prevnar 20 (pneumococcal)
- RSV (Arexvy)
Several community organizations will also provide health education on topics such as stroke awareness, heart health, asthma, home care services and food and nutrition.

Seniors
In addition to the general adult offerings, seniors can take advantage of specialized services geared toward aging populations, including:
- Fall risk and balance assessments
- Cognitive screening and Alzheimer’s education
- Bone density information
- Support for caregivers and those managing chronic conditions
The Indiana Division of Aging is offering free transportation for seniors attending the fair on Thursday, July 17. Transportation is available only with pre-registration by June 30. Seniors or their caregivers can call 317-232-1731 or email patti.bailey@fssa.in.gov for more information.
Children and teens
Young attendees can receive school-required and age-appropriate vaccinations as well as physical exams and other services:
- Back-to-school vaccines including MMR, varicella, polio and HPV
- Sports physicals
- Vision and dental screenings
- Foot and posture checks
- Child-friendly health education on hygiene, nutrition and safety
Parents are encouraged to bring immunization records, although they are not required. Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Activities and stage programming
The fair will feature daily stage events ranging from wellness panels to physical fitness demonstrations. Examples of scheduled programming include:
- Yoga and Zumba classes
- Health talks on women’s wellness, Alzheimer’s disease, hepatitis and cancer prevention
- Live cooking demonstrations from the American Heart Association
- Cultural performances, including line dancing and drumming exhibitions
- Men’s health forums and Q&A sessions with medical professionals
The main stage will also host the Walk It Out America campaign, a national movement promoting walking as a sustainable and accessible form of exercise.
How to attend
No appointments or insurance are needed to participate. Services are available on a walk-in basis. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for screenings and activities.
