The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) is accepting applications for its new six-week virtual workshop series, Vision & Venture.
Intended as an entry program for artists starting a creative small business, Vision & Venture will focus on business processes and essential start-up tasks. The IAC is accepting applications now through Jan. 8, 2026, for creatives with less than one year of business experience to participate, according to a press release.
“Indiana’s creatives bring vibrancy and ingenuity to our local economies,” Jordan Adams, Artist Services Program Manager with the IAC, said in a statement. “Vision & Venture will help support the next generation of creative entrepreneurs in our state, launching businesses that will strengthen our Main Streets and Indiana’s economy.”
The IAC launched a statewide Artist Needs Assessment in the fall of 2023 to inform new and refined programming for artists and creative small business owners across the state. Vision & Venture was one of the programs created to help meet some of the needs identified by the assessment process — including a need for financial education, increased networking and mentorship opportunities for Hoosier artists.

Designed for a cohort of no more than 15 creatives, Vision & Venture will be led by Elain Grogan Luttrell of Minerva Financial Arts. This new workshop series is now the third program in the IACs Business development suite of offerings, joining the On-Ramp Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator and the Creative Leap.
The On-Ramp program, which launched in 2018, is designed for emerging small businesses who are scaling to a new level, while the Creative Leap, which launched earlier this year, is the culminating program, geared toward artists who have been in business for at least five to seven years and are looking to “inject strategic energy into their existing practices,” according to a press release.
Applications for Vision & Venture are now open through Jan. 8, 2026. Workshops are scheduled to begin in February 2026. For more information about the program and how to apply, visit in.gov/arts/programs-and-services/training/vision-and-venture.
