Indiana Humanities will award nonprofit organizations throughout the state with up to $5,000 in grants to support programs to help increase civic engagement amongst Hoosiers. Indiana Humanities will award nearly $50,000 total for its initiative.
“Commemorations, like America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, give us occasions to reflect on the past, present and future of our nation,” Megan Telligman, director of programs at Indiana Humanities, said. “We hope that the projects funded by this grant provide Hoosiers with the opportunity to investigate how we participate in the civic activities that make our state, and our nation, what it is today.”
Funding for the grants will be administered by Indiana Humanities and provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of its “A More Perfect Union” initiative. The deadline to apply is Oct. 31. For more information, click here.
