
The cold has officially begun to set in, but that does not mean Indy’s local farmers markets have closed shop for the season. We compiled a short list of farmers markets to check out this winter — some of which accept SNAP benefits and the Fresh Bucks program.
Broad Ripple Winter Market
Glendale Town Center, 2615 E. 62nd St.
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon
From November to April, the Broad Ripple winter farmers market is hosted indoors, featuring local vendors from around the city, including 317 Juicery, Circle City Smoke, Filigree Bakery, Maplewood Farms, Native Bread and more. Guests may also use SNAP tokens and receive up to 20 Fresh Bucks to use toward fresh fruit and vegetables.

Carmel Winter Market
The Six Eleven, 611 3rd Ave. Carmel, IN
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon
Carmel’s annual winter farmers market is back in a new location this year. From Oct. 21, 2023 to March 30, 2024, the market will feature 40 local vendors and merchants, live entertainment and special events. The market will also be open on Dec. 23 and 30 for holiday shopping. Parking is free in front of the building on both the north and south sides.

Indy Winter Famers Market
The AMP at 16 Tech, 1220 Waterway Blvd.
Saturdays, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Founded by Growing Places Indy, the annual Indy Winter Farmers Market is home to vendors such as AppeThai, Bowater’s Farm, Cookie Snatchers, Earth & Fire, Guys Cooking Creation and more. This season the market is open from Nov. 11, 2023 to April 27, 2024, and SNAP benefits will be accepted. Parking for farmers market guests is free.
South Broad Ripple Market
Half Liter BBQ, 5301 Winthrop Ave.
Wednesdays, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
The South Broad Ripple — or SoBro — Farmers Market returned for the winter iteration starting Nov. 29. Guests can shop from new and returning vendors throughout the season, such as Dry Heat Coffee, Three to Four Dogs, Painted Pony, Moonlight Baking Company, Eat Surreal and more.
