
Two candidates are running for Indianapolis City-County Council District 5: Republican Theodore Blahnik and Democratic incumbent Maggie Lewis.
Lewis is a former president of the City-County Council and has served on the Council since 2009. Lewis is the current CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis.
Blahnik is a small business owner. Blahnik has served as the director of ecological engineering at V3 Companies since June 2002.
The Indianapolis Recorder and WFYI sent each candidate six questions to help voters learn more. Neither candidate responded to the survey.
Early voting opened Oct. 11. Election Day is Nov. 7.
