Musician and businesswoman Megan Thee Stallion partnered with TidalWave Comics to launch “FAME: Megan Thee Stallion,” a comic series focusing on ‘the real hot girl’ in their newest edition.
Written by Eric Esquivel, “FAME: Megan Thee Stallion” is a compelling 22-page story loaded with illustrations from Martin Gimenez.
TidalWave Comics publisher Darren G. Davis thinks the brand is on the right path.
“Our bio comics have carved out a unique niche,” Davis said in a statement. “The success of this comic shows there’s a much broader audience for sequential storytelling than people may realize. These readers want something beyond superheroes or horror. Through our bio comics, we aim to provide these new readers with balanced, well-researched insights into their favorite celebrities.”
Founded in 2007, TidalWave Comics is an independent publisher of comic books and graphic novels. The company bridges the gap between avant-garde art and powerful storytelling.
TidalWave Comics produced comics centered around various major figures such as boxing legend Mike Tyson, musician and businesswoman Rihanna, Vice President Kamala Harris and Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark.

Content creator and member of “Trapped in Anime” collective Taurean Taylor, Indianapolis, believes that Megan Thee Stallion is heading in the right direction with her newest venture.
“The popularity of anime is at an all-time high,” Taylor told the Indianapolis Recorder. “There are many companies who are trying to get a cut of that ‘anime pie’ these days.”
There is some truth to Taylor’s claims, as recent studies show that the popularity of anime is higher than it has been in quite some time. Its popularity in the Western Hemisphere, particularly in the United States, has reached record highs.
According to A 2024 survey by Polygon and Vox Media, 42% of American Gen Z adults watch anime weekly.
Additionally, Gen Z is more likely to return to favorite shows repeatedly, making anime something of a ‘comfort show.’
Taylor thinks Megan Thee Stallion is a perfect candidate for the “FAME” series.
“I don’t know if there is a better person for a comic than Megan Thee Stallion right now,” Taylor said. “She is a big fan of anime, has a larger-than-life fanbase, incorporates anime in her music and has an overall alluring vibe to her.”
“FAME: Megan Thee Stallion” releases to physical and digital shelves Nov. 15.
