The Clubhouse, a new Pots & Pans Pie Co. concept, is coming to the Monon Trail this summer.
The “nostalgic trail-side outpost” is opening in “the little blue house” in the Monon Station Business Park, 1049 E. 54th St, offering customers a cozy place to meet up with friends, grab a quick snack or take a break from a bike ride or park stroll. The idea comes from Pots & Pans Pie Co., an Indianapolis-based, woman-owned bakery on College Avenue, which specializes in handcrafted sweet and savory pies, cookies and other seasonal baked goods, according to a press release.
“After working and living in the neighborhood for years, we’re so excited to open a new shop at this fantastic location,” Clarissa Morley, Pots & Pans Pie Co. and The Clubhouse founder, said in a statement. “When I’m asked who my target audience is at ‘The Clubhouse,’ the answer is — me! My family, friends and I have walked the Monon many times in need of a place to stop and grab a quick snack or beverage and I know there are many others who will benefit from our glorified concession stand. Can’t wait to meet you at The Clubhouse!”

Rooted in quality, community “and a little bit of butter,” Pots & Pans Pie Co.’s new concept was crafted with both trail-goers and neighborhood residents in mind. The menu, which includes mini pies and cookies from the Pots & Pans team, will feature grab-’n-go favorites — such as soft serve ice cream, hot dogs, warm pretzels, cold beverages and popcorn out of a walk-up window facing the Monon Trail.
With an opening set for June, The Clubhouse is currently hiring “friendly, enthusiastic team members to help bring this new concept to life,” according to a press release. Full-time management and customer service positions are available.
