Indiana Housing Community and Development Authority (IHCDA) welcomes Tom Pearson as its new executive director.

IHCDA announced on May 16 that Pearson would lead the agency, stepping into the new leadership position with more than 13 years of experience. Pearson graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and holds an M.B.A. from Anderson University Falls School of Business.

“I am honored and humbled to be IHCDA’s Executive Director. I look forward to taking our agency in a positive direction, investing in our people, and helping Hoosiers,” Pearson said in a statement. “Most of all, I am here to serve our constituents, communities and the team here at IHCDA.”

Pearson came to the agency as a staff underwriter in December 2011 before transitioning to a homeownership operations manager in 2019 and earning a promotion to director of homeownership in 2021, according to a press release.

Under Pearson’s leadership, IHCDA’s Homeownership team accomplished “record production,” introducing new programs for Hoosier homebuyers and building strong relationships with lenders, realtors and community partners across Indiana.

Pearson received the Community Impact award from the Latino Community Development Corp. in 2023. For more information about the IHCDA, visit in.gov/ihcda.
