When it comes to fire safety, there is no such thing as learning too early! As part of National Fire Prevention Week, pre-K students at Primrose School at Anson-Zionsville visited firefighters at the Whitestown Fire Department.

During the visit, students learned about fire safety and even toured a fire truck and equipment.
Fire Prevention Month is observed annually throughout October.
During the month, firefighters help teach children, adults and teachers how to stay safe in the event of a fire and educate them on ways to avoid fire-related incidents.
“As part of the character development program at Primrose, we believe in cultivating responsible citizens from a young age,” said Clamita Thomas, director at Primrose School at Anson-Zionsville.
“National Fire Prevention Month provides a unique opportunity for our preschoolers to learn the importance of fire safety by engaging with community heroes who serve to protect them each day.”
