Police: Children removed from Indianapolis homes

More by this author

INDIANAPOLIS – Police say children have been removed from two homes in Indianapolis because of filthy conditions.

Police say a 45-year-old woman was arrested Monday on neglect charges after officers and personnel from Child Protective Services found her home infested with rats.

A 6-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were removed from her custody.

The removal came after two women were arrested Saturday and three children were removed from a home about three blocks away. It was supposed to be empty, but the children were found alone with feces and insects in the home.
