Human beatbox Doug E. Fresh is known for his impressive imitations of drum machines and effects. On Oct. 5 at 8 p.m., he will perform at The Tobias Theater inside the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields as part of the City as Canvas exhibit. TRIAL BY LAUGHTER 

Standup comedy competition Trial By Laughter is recorded live at Morty’s Comedy Joint and will be released on Comcast On-Demand later in the year. CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

Individuals of all ages are invited to enjoy a variety of activities at Central Library’s centennial celebration. There will be family-oriented programs, period characters, souvenirs, historic exhibitions and birthday cake. DANCING THROUGH THE DECADES

Reach way, way back into your closet and dust off your forgotten formal wear for Peace Learning Center’s prom. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and music from past decades and help fund peace education in Indy. WOOFSTOCK

The Humane Society for Hamilton County invites you to Woofstock, Indiana’s largest pet and music festival. CIRCLE ART FAIR

On Oct. 7, 75 artist tents, six musical acts and a swarm of food trucks will take over the Soldiers and Sailors monument in downtown Indianapolis. Enjoy visual art and musical entertainment at the Monument Circle Art Fair, where creatives will showcase their work. The event is free and open to all ages.
