Free Park & Ride shuttle service available for fair

More by this author

Fairgoers looking to save $5 during their trip to the State Fair should take
advantage of the State Fair Park & Ride service at the Glendale Mall.
Established in 2004, the service has grown in popularity over the years and
now stands out as the only free parking option for fair visitors.

The State Fair Park & Ride is available to everyone. It offers free shuttle

service from Glendale Mall's Rural Street lot, where visitors can also park

for free, to the fairgrounds' northeast corner by the Family Fun Park. The

shuttles run every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day of the fair,

Aug. 2 18.

"I learned about the Park and Ride service from a friend a few years ago and

that's the only way I'll go to the fair now," Noblesville resident Jeff

Visscher said. "It keeps me from battling the crowds down at the

fairgrounds and it's nice to save a few bucks, too."

For less budget conscious fairgoers, two new parking options are now

available for the first time.

* Reserved Parking guarantees visitors a convenient spot inside the

fairgrounds behind the Public Safety Center. This option is available

exclusively through the fair's web site, www.indianastatefair.com

<<a href="http://www.indianastatefair.com/" target="_blank">http://www.indianastatefair.com> , and the spot is only reserved for the

date selected. There are a limited number of spaces available and the cost

is $20.

* Premiere Guest Parking is available through www.indianastatefair.com

<<a href="http://www.indianastatefair.com/" target="_blank">http://www.indianastatefair.com> or on site, when available. Visitors

park in the Old Farmer's Market lot on the east side of Fall Creek Parkway

directly across from Gate 6 and then receive concierge golf cart service

inside the fairgrounds to either Pioneer Village or Main Street. There are

a limited number of spaces available and the cost is $25.

The State Fair also offers specially designated spots for motorcycles in the

One Text or Call Could Wreck It All Infield. Those spots, like all others

in the Infield or E-Z Park lots surrounding the fairgrounds cost $5.
