INDIANAPOLIS (Wednesday, May 11, 2011/Coles Marketing Communications) – Managed Health Services (MHS) is taking part in all the excitement that is the Indianapolis 500 as a sponsor of one of its popular pre-race festivities.
MHS is a sponsor of the Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run, which takes place Sunday, May 15, from 1-3 p.m. in downtown Indianapolis at the corner of Ohio and Meridian Streets. All kids ages 3-12 are invited to participate in the Rookie Run, a non-competitive fun run which encourages kids to stay physically fit.
“The Indianapolis 500 is one of the most significant motorsports events in the world as well as a time-honored tradition,” said MHS CEO Patrick Rooney. “We are honored and excited to be a sponsor of one of the many race-related festivities taking place throughout the month of May. At MHS, we focus on healthy living and wellness, and that certainly ties in to our sponsorship of the Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run, which supports physical fitness in children.”
The Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run complements the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. All participants in the Rookie Run will receive a goodie bag, a runner’s bib with the number one and a finisher’s medal – just like the Mini-Marathon participants. Onsite registration for the Rookie Run, located in front of the Chase Tower on Ohio Street, is $10 on the day of the race.
