It’s not easy managing a nonprofit during a time when dollars are tight and the need for services is high. That’s why Lushin & Associates, an Indianapolis sales training company, is offering up to five nonprofit organizations a free assessment of their business operations. The assessment provides tangible ways for organizations to operate more efficiently.
For the first time, Indianapolis-area nonprofits may apply to receive a grant for “Key Management Dynamics Assessment,” a tool Lushin uses to help both for-profit and nonprofit clients that want to better understand the unique skills of board members and staff, and also identify gaps. The value of the assessment is $5,000. The deadline for applications is Dec. 5.
“Our community relies on the good work of our nonprofits, whether it’s to provide job training, meals, health care and more, and we know it’s tough to provide these services with limited dollars, so Lushin wants to help,” said company CEO Paul Lushin. “Executive teams and boards need to run on all cylinders. They want to be more resourceful, more creative and interactive, and run more efficiently, so they can accomplish their missions.”
The management assessment will help local nonprofits do just that. As part of the program, Lushin will collect information from all board members and executive staff members. Lushin will analyze the information and then present findings and recommendations to help the nonprofit get the most out of its board and staff, including recruiting, fundraising and communications.
Nonprofit organizations may submit an online application at http://lushin.com/kmd.
“One of Lushin’s goals for 2012, is to become more engaged in our communities, and we hope offering this free assessment tool will be among the first of many initiatives that will help us give back and support the great work of our nonprofits,” Lushin said.
