Support groups for caregivers

Catholic Charities Indianapolis will host its monthly caregiver support groups in two locations in Indianapolis in the month of April. These support groups are open to everyone in the community caring for adults with special needs: elderly, developmentally-disabled or those with cognitive impairments.

For seniors, Catholic Charities Indianapolis also offers adult day services in Indianapolisā€”A Caring Place, 4609 N. Capitol Ave. They provide stimulating activities for adults who need supervision during the day and much needed respite for their caregivers, who are often spouses or adult children. Catholic Charities offers crisis relief and shelter, pregnancy and adoption services, senior services and affordable mental health counseling, serving nearly 30,000 of the poor and vulnerable in central Indiana.
