FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ Dana Holding Corp. says it will close its Marion auto part plant by mid-2013 and send about 100 jobs to nearby Fort Wayne.

United Steelworkers Local 7113 President Steve Shively confirmed the Marion plant closing Wednesday.

The Marion factory’s 191 union members were told they can apply for the new jobs created in Fort Wayne. Shively told The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne that some workers likely will retire while others will make the 50-miles commute to Fort Wayne.
