The Carmel Arts & Design District invites you to the Jan. 14 IU Health North Hospital Gallery Walk featuring the finest galleries in Carmel.

The unique galleries showcase a variety of different works and styles of paintings and sculptures. The Gallery Walk is a chance for patrons to enjoy a multitude of evocative art pieces within a short stroll on Main Street. The galleries celebrate new exhibits every second Saturday of the month from 5 to 10 p.m.

Enjoy the merchant events and activities, entertainment, culture and shopping of the Carmel Arts & Design District Galleries, along with guest appearances by featured artists. Plan an evening in the district to stimulate your senses by visiting the distinctive galleries and special eateries and shops in the Arts & Design District.

The galleries in the district include:

ArtSplash Gallery ranges from traditional to contemporary works and offers a wide variety of styles in two and three-dimensional media that will accommodate most tastes and budgets. Exhibits have fresh artwork added monthly.

Evan Lurie Gallery specializes in introducing emerging and established international artists with a heavy emphasis on the contemporary abstract and a strong focus on realism and neo-realism. The 5,200-square-foot space offers bi-monthly art walks featuring individual and group shows.

Eye on Art offers an experience of something new and touching, something provocative and satisfying, something humorous and whimsical. Featured artists, both established and emerging, demonstrate lofty skills that evoke a personal response. Works include a range of mediums; exhibits change monthly and new artists will be continually introduced.

French Bleu Gallery’s artist Susan Mauck describes her artwork as, “impressionistic, with a contemporary edge.” Her passion for portraiture and figure painting is evident as she strives to capture a moment in time that is sure to become a treasured heirloom.

Magdalena Gallery of Art displays both traditional and modern works, but the gallery’s primary focus is contemporary art. Artists represented include internationally known artists, as well as local favorites in various stages of their careers. The second floor of the gallery houses a dedicated classroom space used for fine arts instruction for students of all ages.

Mary Johnston Studio Gallery houses a contemporary landscape painter specializing in large-scale commission oil works on canvas or birch panels. Currently in the studio is an available collection of created works including a large 84″ x 84″ piece on canvas “in the process” of being created.

Renaissance Fine Art & Design features a personal approach to bringing original art into a home or office. Works by established national, emerging and local artists are featured with contemporary, impressionistic and traditional pieces by artists specializing in portraiture, oils, acrylics, mixed media, precious metal, iron, sculpture and more. Workshops, classes and events including exhibits changing monthly.

Soori Gallery showcases paintings and bronze and acrylic sculptured works by leading American and international artists. Featured sculptors are Michael Wilkinson, Frederick Hart, Jerry Joslin , Erte, Martin Eichinger, Angelo Basso, Misha Frid, Tuan and Mahmoud Farshchian.

Trilridge Fine Art Gallery offers landscape photography. Large scale, limited edition acrylic images are featured utilizing the highest quality processing and materials. Their images also include a vibrant collection depicting the City of Indianapolis. Some of the first images captured on gallery owner Terry Gentry’s recent trip to California will be on display in January.
