In a major effort to advance the revitalization efforts in the city’s northwest corridor, the Lafayette Square Area Coalition (LSAC) has announced the hiring of its first executive director.
“The coalition is pleased to announce Mary Chalmers has accepted the position of executive director,” said Board President Mary Clark. Chalmers, currently senior neighborhood liaison for the mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services, has been involved with LSAC, and Pike Township, for many years.
Chalmers will begin her work on Oct. 17. The coalition office will be established at 3610 Guion Road in space donated by Westview Hospital.
Mission of the Lafayette Square Area Coalition is to promote the revitalization of the Lafayette Square area.
