Great Logo Recall

In preparation for a new identity in early 2011, Clarian Health employees are gathering items that carry Clarian or Clarian-affiliated hospital and physician group logos as part of the Great Logo Recall charitable event.

The Great Logo Recall invites Clarian Health and Indiana Clinic staffs to turn in branded items such as pens, mugs, shirts, planners and hats for donation to the IU-Kenya Partnership, a special partnership between Indiana University School of Medicine and Moi University School of Medicine in Kenya, Africa.

The partnership created the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare, or AMPATH, one of Africaā€™s largest, most comprehensive and effective HIV/AIDS control systems. AMPATH serves an estimated 400,000 people and has expanded to provide many programs that support the Kenyans, including maternal/child health, orphans and vulnerable children and agriculture, education, research and safe water initiatives, among others.

All hospitals and related groups throughout the Clarian Health system are holding similar events to benefit the IU-Kenya Partnership.

ā€œWe made the decision to unite under one identity to change the way people in Indiana experience health care,ā€ said Sam Odle, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Clarian Health. ā€œThe Great Logo Recall events are symbolic of the great things we will accomplish in the New Year as we work closely together as a statewide system.ā€

The Great Logo Recall will take place on Dec. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fairbanks Hall; and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Gateway Building.

Last May, Clarian Health announced the changing of its name to IU Health in an effort to better identify the hospital systemā€™s unique brand of nationally recognized health care and reinforce its partnership with the world-renowned Indiana University School of Medicine.
