The Drive-by Prayer Vigil ministry has been asked to join with local pastors and churches for a special prayer vigil tonight, 7pm, at Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church, 2125 E. 54th Street. A call to church and community is requested to come alongside fellow Pastor, Derek Jefferson, Senior Pastor of Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church, and brother and uncle to the deceased father and son.
The brother of Pastor Jefferson, Carlos Darnell Jefferson, Sr., was gunned down in his drive-way April 24, 2014, only two months after burying his 22-year-old son, Carlos Jefferson Jr. (another victim of homicide who was killed February 2014.)
We are encouraging the Drive-by Prayer team members along with supporters to join us at Jerusalem Temple this evening at 7pm, as we support Pastor Jefferson and family, as well as sound an alarm in the community that it’s time to stop the violence and seek peace from the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
