Republic Airways bringing 300 jobs to Indianapolis

More by this author

Republic Airways is moving all of its business operations to its Indianapolis headquarters, a move that will shift about 300 jobs from Denver to Indianapolis.

Indianapolis-based Republic Airways, which recently acquired Denver-based Frontier Airlines, said Tuesday it plans to begin hiring dispatchers, engineers, crew schedulers and others in the second quarter of 2010.

The company said it will expand its headquarters on Indianapolis’ north side to support the transfer of Frontier Airlines’ operations control center to Indianapolis.

Republic Airways was founded as Chautauqua Airlines in 1973 in Jamestown, N.Y. and relocated to Indianapolis in 1994. It employs about 11,000 aviation professionals and operates 288 regional jets with about 1,600 flights daily.
