More by this author

The Central Indiana Community Foundation is hosting “Community Matters,” a discussion series on “E Pluribus Unum,” a proposed public art installation for the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick.

The meeting schedule is as follows:

  • Oct. 8 – 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 37 Place (formerly IPS 37), 2605 E. 25th St.
  • Oct. 11 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Central Indiana Community Foundation-Downtown Office, 615 N. Alabama St., meet in Conference Rooms 6&7
  • Oct. 13 – 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Central Indiana Community Foundation-Downtown Office, 615 N. Alabama St., meet in Conference Rooms 6&7

The Central Indiana Community Foundation is encouraging the community to come and express their reactions to the proposed artwork, provide suggestions on the project’s location (if it moves forward) and give input on the types of future artwork you would like to see in our city. After the group discussion, participants will have the opportunity to record their perspectives in writing or audio/video form.

All comments received before, during and following the public meetings will be taken into consideration as a final decision is made about the project’s future.

The “Community Matters” discussion series is presented by the Central Indiana Community Foundation as a safe place for dialogue where all perspectives can be shared and are valued. More meetings will be added as the need increases.

Registration for these events is required. Each discussion is limited to 20 participants, adults and children age 12 and older. Discussions are free and open to the public.
