INDIANAPOLIS When fall sports kick off, athletes will have a new
performance resource on the north side of Indianapolis with the addition of
St.Vincent Sports Performance <<a href="http://www.definingsportsperformance.com/" target="_blank">http://www.definingsportsperformance.com>
(SVSP) at Clay Terrace, a Simon property, in Carmel. Sports medicine
physicians will begin seeing patients at the new facility on Aug. 5 while
performance training, nutrition and psychology will start the following week
on Aug. 12.
SVSP Clay Terrace, a 26,000-square-foot facility originally occupied by
Circuit City, will house a 65-yard-long turf, nearly 4,000 square feet of
weights and physician offices. The current facility at 8227 Northwest Blvd.
will remain open and all services, including performance training, medicine,
nutrition and psychology, will be offered at both locations.
The new location (14455 Clay Terrace Blvd.) will offer walk-in injury
consultations Monday through Saturday from 8-10 a.m. Athletes wishing to
make a physician appointment at either SVSP location should call
317.415.5795; all other services can be scheduled by calling 317.415.5747.
"As north side communities grow, so does the demand for performance training and medicine," said Ralph Reiff, executive director of SVSP. "A large number
of our customers and partner schools are in Carmel, Westfield, Sheridan and
Zionsville. We're proud to offer these active communities of athletes a
convenient one-stop shop for all their needs."
A grand opening event at SVSP Clay Terrace is set for Sept. 5. The
celebration is open to the public and will include facility tours, celebrity
appearances and drawings for sports gear. Media will be invited.
