As summer weather sweeps over Indianapolis, Hoosiers are gathering to celebrate a variety of events, from Pride Month to Juneteenth, Father’s Day, Loving Day and more. 

Whether you’re looking for a block party, live music, good eats or a hands-on workshop, Indianapolis has it all. The Recorder has compiled a list of a few free and low-cost activities and events around Indianapolis in June, which will update throughout the month at Indianapolisrecorder.com

Future in Motion: Day of Youth Dance and Discovery — FREE

Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.

The Indy Dance Council and the Indianapolis Public Library present an afternoon of performances and movement workshops, featuring students of iibada Dance Company, Dance Kaleidoscope, Kids Dance Outreach, Metropolitan Youth Ballet, Academy of Dance Arts, Samyoga School of Dance and more.

Pride on the Lawn — FREE

Harrison Center Rooftop Concert featuring Kenn.Wav — FREE

Harrison Center, 1505 N. Delaware St.

Kenn.Wav, one of the 2026 Art & Soul Featured Artists, will perform a free rooftop concert during First Friday, from 6-9 p.m., after a brief 48-hour songwriting residency at the Harrison Center, emphasizing new works created on-site.

One of several free admission days at the Children’s Museum, the Juneteenth Jamboree celebrates family and freedom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event includes a marketplace with local artists, performers and community resources, organizations and vendors.

3rd Annual Loving Day Celebration — $15

Gainbridge Fieldhouse, 125 N. Pennsylvania St.

Hosted in partnership with The International Center and former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, the Loving Day Celebration will feature compelling stories, local art, a catered lunch and vow renewals to celebrate the landmark 1967 Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
