Tennis legends Pete Sampras and Todd Martin will crash Super Bowl week and headline the “Match for a Cure,” a night of tennis at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Jan 29 at 7 p.m. These stars will not be playing for trophies or even bragging rights, just some really good causes.
BP Sports and Entertainment presents the all-star evening of tennis to entertain area fans while helping cancer charities fulfill their mission to raise awareness about the need to find a cure and provide support for those battling cancer.
The event will also feature the Ultimate Miracle Match – Pete Sampras versus Miracle Match Foundation founder, leukemia survivor and tennis professional Bill Przybysz. Additionally, a special pre-match gala reception with the players will be served up.

The pre-match gala will be held at the Locker Room Restaurant (inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 29. VIP ticket holders and sponsors are invited to attend the gala that will feature a question-and answer session with the players, and opportunities for autographs and pictures with the stars.
In 1997, the Miracle Match Foundation was established in Grand Rapids, Mich., by tennis pro Bill Przybysz after he was diagnosed with leukemia. The foundation’s mission is to help individuals and their families with the challenges they face while battling stem cell-related disorders. Currently, the foundation provides funding for donor registration programs, hospitality suites and research facilities.
