The Indiana Black Legislative Caucus (IBLC) announced its 17th Annual Prayer and Praise Breakfast will be Feb. 29 at the JW Marriott Hotel at the corner of West and Washington streets in downtown Indianapolis.
State Rep. Vanessa Summers, IBLC Chair, said Eastern Star Church’s Senior Pastor Jeffrey Johnson Sr. will present the keynote address.
“Pastor Johnson is a dynamic speaker who heads one of the fastest growing congregations in the Indianapolis area,” Summers said. “Since 1988, his ministry has expanded to three worship facilities, two in Indianapolis and one in Fishers, that serve more than 10,000 members. Through his inspirational outreach ministry, heard on radio and seen on television, Pastor Johnson’s positive message reaches more than a million people. The Prayer and Praise Breakfast is one of the highlights of the year for the Indiana General Assembly. I personally invite everyone in the community to join us for this special event.”
Tickets for the Prayer and Praise Breakfast are $20 each with tables of 10 available for $200. Seating is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 7 a.m. with the breakfast beginning promptly at 7:30 a.m.
Rep. Summers said proceeds from the breakfast will be used for the IBLC Scholarship Program.
