The Harlem Quartet will perform on the Ensemble Music Society’s International Chamber Series at 7:30 PM at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center, 450 West Ohio Street, on Wednesday, March 14th. The concert will include works by Mozart and Schubert as well as a quartet by legendary Jazz performer/composer Chick Corea.
During their more than 3 days in Indianapolis, the Harlem Quartet will do much more than presenting the concert on March 14, they will also conduct a workshop for members of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. During the workshop, quartet members will talk about their lives in music, conduct side-by-side coaching, be involved in rehearsal and socialize with the members of the orchestra. The Harlem Quartet will also lead a similar workshop for students from area Middle and High Schools through the American String Teachers Association.
